Geraldine Beskin is the co-proprietor of Atlantis Bookshop, the longest-established occult bookstore in Europe. Having opened its doors in 1922, family-run Atlantis, which is situated a stone’s throw from The British Museum, is still a well-loved and thriving hub for Pagans, Occultists and scholars of the magickal arts.
Having begun her career in bookselling at the age of nineteen, Geraldine has amassed a wealth of knowledge about matters esoteric. She is a popular figure on the London – and international – Pagan scene, and regularly gives talks about Western occultism, with particular emphasis upon the lives of personalities such as Aleister Crowley and Austin Osman Spare.
Geraldine’s experiences within the Occult movement of 1970s London brought her into contact with many well known people who had a role in the Highgate ‘vampire’ saga, and we are pleased that she has chosen to speak at The Highgate Vampire Symposium 2015.
